Reminders are easy to ignore. DeskCoach locks your screen and checks you really hydrated, rested your eyes, and stood up, so deep work stops wrecking your body.

DeskCoach is holding your screen
Hydration break

Bottle, then we keep going.

"You're 2 behind. Let's catch up before 6pm."

Verify with camera

You know you should drink water, look away from the screen, and stand up. You don't. Every other app just pings you, and you swipe it away in half a second.

How it works

It doesn't remind you. It makes sure you do it.

Three steps, running quietly in the background of your real workday.

1

It learns your rhythm

Calendar- and video-call-aware, so it never interrupts a meeting or nags an empty chair.

2

When it's time, the screen locks

Not a notification you dismiss. A full stop, with your coach telling you exactly what to do.

3

It verifies, then lets you back

The camera confirms you actually did it. No camera? Confirm and move on. Either way, you did the thing.

What it covers

One coach for everything you skip

Water, eyes, and movement — the three your body pays for during deep work.

Forced hydration

An adaptive schedule that speeds up if you're falling behind, so you actually hit your daily goal.

20-20-20 eye breaks

A real on-screen timer that walks you through resting your eyes on something far away.

Active movement breaks

It checks that you actually stood up and moved. Sitting there doesn't count.

Presence-aware

Stepped away from the desk? It waits and re-checks instead of firing into an empty room.

Your daily vitals

Tracks how long you actually sat and how many breaks you owed, with a clean daily summary.

Confetti when you win

Hit the day's goals and it celebrates across every screen. Earned, not given.

Camera & privacy

Your coach, not your boss.

Verification is the whole point, but it stays yours. You monitor yourself, for yourself.

  • On-device vision. Frames are checked locally and never leave your Mac.
  • Opt-in, always. The camera is off until you turn it on.
  • Full no-camera mode. Prefer none at all? The enforcement works without it.
  • Nothing is stored. A check happens, then the image is gone.

Questions

The stuff everyone asks

Isn't a camera watching me creepy?

It's optional and runs on-device, so nothing is uploaded or stored. There's also a full no-camera mode if you'd rather not use it at all. You're monitoring yourself, for yourself, not for anyone else.

Does it actually help with ADHD?

That's exactly who it's built for. The whole point is external accountability you can't bargain with: a reminder you can swipe away does nothing, a screen lock you have to satisfy does.

Will it interrupt my meetings?

No. DeskCoach is calendar-aware and detects when your camera or mic is in use, so it stays quiet during calls and meetings and picks back up afterward.

Is it Mac only?

Yes, for now. DeskCoach is a native macOS app. Windows may come later if there's demand.
